A good father.

ok so im a girl and im 15. and i seriously sometimes think that my dad hates me. which actually he doesn't. he worked so hard to get me into a good private school. he gets me everything i want or need. im his only child. he's opened minded and i can almost talk to him about everything and anytime i want. i just don't know why i think he hates me. is it normal? does anyone else feel the same way? he treats me very well and he's a good father. this feeling comes of no where. and i want it to stop. any advice?

Hey! Im 16 and I have those same feelings as well. I don't go to a private school or anything but my parents work hard to give me a descent life, but they don't always show it. They don't show that they really care at all.
Maybe your dad had a bad childhood when he was younger, or something in the past happened that he hasn't let go,but who knows. I can understand what your saying though. Your dad may just lack in showing how he really feels (as in, the way he loves you!) because he doesn't know how to show it. He obviously seems to treat you good by making sure you have a good education and nice things for you,but he doesn't know how to show what he's feeling.
It sounds cleshay,but maybe if you had a talk with your dad by letting him know that you feel that way,that could solve some things for you,and possibly him too!
