Be Grateful For What You Have!

After spending 6 hours in surgery my little brother finally came out of it.The doctors were able to remove most of the tumor, but they couldn't get all of it out.Hopefully in the next week or so they Pathology report will come back on the piece of the tumor they did manage to remove. If he tumor was cancerous, he is going to have to get chemotherapy treatments. This is too much for a 15 year old to have to go through. He should be studying for his finals, getting ready for the next Drama club play, going to bowling matches.

I'm terrified right now.I came back from Chicago for the night because I couldn't stand being in the hospital for so long.I feel bad, but both my mom and my sister stayed with him.My dad came home with me.He's the strong and silent type, like I try to be, but you can tell he's upset.I hope everything comes out all right.

I'm so sorry. I'll be praying for your brother, you, and the rest of your family. I really hope he gets better. And you're right about being thankful for what we have. Most of us don't have to worry about whether or not a family member will have good health, and we take that for granted.
