Im done with anaphylaxis

I'm really not trying to sound like a sob story.i know there's people with far worse things and I'm so grateful I'm as healthy as I am.ive never once in my life complained about it until now, but I'm noticing it more and more latetly and I really am done with it :( , I hate this stupid epipen, I'm so sick of it, and I'm sick of reading everything before I eat it, I'm sick of not being able to just eat something without concern, I really do wish it was just gone.and thats that.

(Me again.) We all have our days. You're going to have other moments in your life like this one, too. Try to hang in there when you start to feel discouraged. We're so lucky to live in a day and age where there is such a thing as an epipen. (Although, on the flip-side, years ago there weren't these types of allergies - at least they weren't this prevelant...)
I'm glad my comment helped you to feel better. You, in turn, made me feel better when you reminded me that they can't miss what they never have. My kid is a real trooper - old enough to want everything and anything, yet already learning responsibility.
Sometimes, even the fact that they accept that they can't eat the same things as the rest of us at meal time, makes me sad! I should be overjoyed that they've adapted to that, but it still makes me sad. I don't sit there and feel sorry all the time or anything, but it's definitely an adjustment. You want nothing but the best and the healthiest life for your child. And, you're right about another thing, it isn't the worst thing to have. Thank you for that reminder. There are so many worse things out there. We have to remember to count our blessings, don't we.
I know it's got to be hard when your friends don't understand. It's always nice to talk to someone who does. I'm wondering, though, if you look around, if you might not be able to find someone else in the same boat as you...? You might be surprised! There are many, many people out there who carry epi's. I wish you all the best!

I am so sorry - I am allergic to shrimp and even that one limatation puts me in awkard situations at people's homes sometimes. A long cry and a good nights sleep will leave you better prepared to start all over the next day - good luck to you and take care!

Thank you, dont worry about your little one, it can get tough, but its not the worst thing in the world by far!
He/She will just learn to live with it, i mean you cant miss someting you've never had right?
But i really appreciate what you told me, its kind of hard sometimes because none of my friends really understand, they dont really get it. So what you told me was comforting

I am sad for you when I read this. I wish there were no food allergies in our world.
I can relate. I have a child who is yet too young to write whom has severe food allergies. I often worry what my child's life will be like when they are older, how hard their life may be... It is a burden only those who live with can imagine.
At this moment in time, I am the one who has to read every single food label and guard my child with my life. It is a total lifestyle change. I do everything I can to protect them, even avoiding any social settings where that particular food is most likely going to be present, which is most social settings. It is a tough life.
There is an element of stress there that many, many others can relate to, though. There are so many people out there who have to carry an epipen everywhere they go. The numbers are staggering. I hope it helps you to feel better to know you're not alone. You are so not alone.
