Im really confused.

This is gonna sound like a typical story, but I dont care. Theres this guy, and hes really really nice and he said he liked me, and I want to like him back I really do but I cant. Ive gone out with some real ass holes and I fancied all of them. Do I only like ass holes or something? I have no idea wat to do :(
