I'm scared

I have to go to the hospital next week for an operation & I'm petrified, I have to have an injection too & I'm really scared of needles.
I feel like I can't tell my friends cause they think I over react about my health, but they don't know that I'm actually really seriously ill..I don't dare tell them cause they'll either not believe me, or they'll treat me as if I'm about to die. I really don't know what to do :(

A positive attitude is your best friend right now.
Can you talk to another patient who has been through a similiar operation?
They've been there. they survived.
Google a support group if your doc can't put you in touch with anyone.
