Is Daddy going to hell?

I am a very religious person, I believe in God and go to church.my main belief is that if you believe in god, and spend your life as a good person, you should go to heaven.however, my father does not at all believe there is a god, he is a good person...but I would like an opinion from other peoples point of views.do you think my father will go to hell for not believing in god? or to heaven for just being a good person? and why?

I feel the same way your dad does.

you want me to believe there are clouds & purly white gates & some guy up in the clouds watching everything I do? Sounds like a peeping tom to me ;-)

There is an apartment on fire, some people are taken to the hospital...there is a priest...a family with a husband/wife/& beautiful newborn baby girl...and a rapist/child molester.....
The priest was forver burned & disfigured from the fire & cannot live a normal life now
The family...well lets just say there is only a widow now (the daddy & baby girl passed)
the rapist/child molester...suffered minor burns & minor smoke in the lungs...hes perfectly fine

There is no such thing as Hell.
Think about it.
God would not have allowed something as powerful as him or ALMOST as powerful as him to continue on. :/
Don't worry.
My dad committed suicide (majorly against God's law if you want to get technical) and I know fersure he's in Heaven.

ummm being a good person cant save you, it is what you believe... i mean if you look at it from a christian perspective, there is no such thing as a good person. if you hagve ever lied then you are imperfect and will go to hell on your own. i think it is believing in Jesus Christ, that he died to save us and then rose again, that saves us from hell.

I'm agnostic and have a hard time believing in the whole "you go to hell because you don't worship this particular deity". I'm open to more reasoanble ideas but really, I'd rather go to hell if it meant I would be with the people that really mattered to me.
