Is He Too Old?

Even though I'm 16, I'm very mature for my age & have all older friends. I have a 20 yr. old associate who's been asking a couple of my friends about me. I haven't actually met him, but I know who he is.

Going off of my friend's judgements, he's a really great guy who's on the right path, & isn't looking for a sexual relationship. I trust them, so I'm really thinking about talking to him...I just have to get through my parents. My associate said if it was ok with them, he'd like to "talk" to me when I turn 17...which is in a week, & most likely "date" after I turn 18.

My parents are sooo old school, hard to talk to, & only see the bad in a guy...the reason being is because I'm their only child...their only baby girl.

How can I bring this up or talk about it with them to get them to understand that we're both responsible & are able to hamdle this kind o f relationship maturely? I NEED ANSWERS....FAST!!!

I have more questions..............Please help me find some answers:

1. I'm 16, going on17 in a week, & he's 20. I'm a virgin, & he's not. Just like any other relationship, sexual tention builds up. What can we do to get through this?.........BECAUSE I'M NOT HAVING SEX!!!

2. Why is it that when the guy is trying to stay on the staright & narrow, the girl gets sooo turned on & wants to be bad even more? lol

3. Sometimes I feel a little intimidated by him because of our age, but at the same time I love it. How would I start off a conversation to tell him how I feel & how it affects me?

Ok heres my problem with it
sure he's a really nice guy and u like him
but ur 4 yrs younger ya it might not seem like alot
but when ur in ur teens it is
why can't he get a girl his own age?
u think a 25yr old or w.e wants to go to ur grad?

I'm a guy that loved idealistic girls such as yourself. 16 years for a woman/girl is a very scary time for young ladies your hormones are raging and you want to have your first sexual experience. Trust a guy that took advantage of many woman during high school, there is a huge mental difference between 16 and 20. Date people your own age he is too old and will most likely take advantage of you in the end. Don’t rush things there will be more then enough chances for those experiences when you’re ready. 16 isn't necessarily too young but with a 20 year old .... approach with caution.

i see no problem. i have a friend who had sex when she was 15 with a 19 year old and then dated the same person when she turned 16. that much age difference especially since your going on to 17 isn't a big deal. im 17. i had sex about a month ago, a week before my b day, it's good but it's not important at this time. and like you said your a virgin, when i was i just really wanted it so bad, it was driving me insane. don't worry about that tension. save yourself for when you reallt actually love a person or care about them to the extreme. it will mean so much more to you if you wait.
