Hokay.I have a bestguyfriend, he and I messed around a while back because I never spoke up and said "no, I don't think we should be doing this, feelings are going to get confusing and someone's bound to get hurt" and that spiraled into a mess (ie: me losing my virginity to someone I was not romantically involved with). And now he wants to date me.:S Its all frustrating because we really don't have all that much in common other than: we like sex, we like weed (he's the one who introduced me to it >>), and the occassional drinking oh and he's been my best friend for like 4 or 5 years now >> but it was ok before because he had a girlfriend.He's an ass 60% of the time and a great person 80% of the time (shh I know the math doesn't add up but that's how it is).He's still determined to win me over.He thinks the only issue is that I think he's too much of an asshole so he says he'll 'work on it'.I don't know what to do.I want to tell him that I don't want to be anything more than friends, but I don't want to lose him as a friend because of it.Halphalphalp

I've had somewhat of the same problem, and it ended badly. Neither of us quit until we got otherwise involved and even after those ended we went back to each other. It was the opposite though, I wanted more and he wanted to mess around with everyone. We aren't nearly as close anymore, I got over him and wanted to stop and that made him find a new bestfriend. Its not awkward, just sad. We had a wonderful friendship and ruined it by hooking up. I suggest you end it, before it gets any worse. Tell him that you like hooking up but aren't looking for more. He'll understand. &If he doesn't, at least the pressures off.
