I've been lieing to you lately
But I swear it's for a good reason
The words I say might mean the opposite
But I don't want to trap your heart in treason
When I say, "I don't care."
It really means I do
When I say, "That's great."
I'm only saying it for you.
Really my heart is screaming
That I care more than ever
And that the girl your happy with
I pray you wont be with her forever
And when you ask me what's wrong
And my reply is always the same
A smile and a nothing
Really it's everything since you came
God I need you so much
But I wont let you stay with me
I know you deserve better
Than the problems I carry, as you can see
But it's getting harder to shut you out
And pretend that my heart doesn't ache for you
When your with her it's even harder
because I know she wants you to.
Don't look at me like that
Don't smile at me that way
Stop feeling my head with ideas
This has to stop today
Don't tell me that you ended things with her
That I'm the one you want
Don't lean in like that to kiss me
This is just a cruel tuant.
Don't hold my waist like that
Don't pull me any closer
I already got through my head
That you chose her
But you didn't let go
And I didn't mind that much
"I love you, only you."
My heart went faster with every touch.
You smiled one last time
Then disappeared in thin air
And I woke up screaming
You were never really there
