What, precisely, do you intend to accomplish by doing that? It would seem to me that someone who truly believed in the doctrine of the Democratic Party (or any party for that matter) would feel compelled to persuade others to adopt similar values. If your behavior is confrontational it not only galvanizes opponents, but suggests a disturbing flaw in character: namely, that you opposed the Republicans for some non-political reason. Perhaps you feel otherwise, in which case it would behoove you to keep in mind that your teacher is ultimately in charge of your grade. Either way, noble comportment would be the way to go.
