Question for y'all
What is your stance on piracy? Not like high seas piracy but music piracy.I'm all for it.It's been shown that pirates tend to BUY more music because they have no obligation to buy before they listen.Nine Inch Nails has put many songs up for free and they are rolling in dough.I think that this shows that it is the rules that need changing, not the habits of most of this generation.

I download music myself. Most of the songs that bands put up on myspace and things aren't really a great representation of the band as a whole. So I Download some content of theirs that's not so commercial to make a decision on if I like them.
If I don't like it, I delete the music and move on. If I do, Then I go on the hunt for Their albums. Most people would just download the rest of the content, but I can't do that.
Cd's sound so much better than their mp3 counterparts..

I've tended to stray from downloading movies but I do know that the hype from the leaks tends to boost sales in the box office. Take X-Men: Origins. It ABSOLUTELY makes me want to see the finished copy in theaters.

yeah you're right. ThePirateBay's trial was so stupid. Whenever I get music or anything else online, whether using Youtube or whatever, if I like it I would be much more likely to buy the CD, or watch some other film written by the same person. It's like when I saw Chasing Amy online, it made me go buy Clerks, another Kevin Smith film.
