Relationship feelings

I met a woman and she became my girlfriend for one and a half years. i think she feel in love with me hard. after that i was reavaluating my fellings and asked for some time for myself so eventually we became just friends, still seing each other as we do today, 6 months after we stopped being a couple. i realised i feel love for her, and imense affection, but i never felt swept from my feet about her, and i think i need such a feeling to be fulfilled in a relationship. it's very hard to find someone and feel such a connection. but i still spend lots of time with my ex, and i'm thinking if i can be chasing an impossible love, and unreal, movie like relationship and losing a great thing with someone who loves me, and who i spend great time with?
