i hate being rich, i go to the best school in the country and i pretend i am not a wealthy as i am so i can manage to fit in better. i hate it how people just want to be famous and rich it isnt all that. my mum however is putting the money to good use by puting poor kids to school and providing jobless people with jobs. people around me are so fake and the house keepers are only nice in front of my parents. i just wanna steal money from my dad (which he never notices) and run away, should i?

dont steal the money - try and convince your dad to put into water aid or wwf or any other charity you think is worthwhile. that will help.

The only reason you feel bad is because you are a caring person. It sounds like you want to identify and empathize with the people around you, but you feel you can't because of your family's wealth.
But you are more than your money. I wouldn't pretend to have less money, but would instead be yourself. If money comes up, be honest but humble. Instead of spending money to help people, try getting some of your friends together and donate your time. That way you all can participate at an equal level together, and money isn't an issue.
And hang in there. Life isn't easy, no matter how much money you have or don't have. I've been poor and I've been not poor. And neither changed me as a person - you are who choose to be.
But you are more than your money. I wouldn't pretend to have less money, but would instead be yourself. If money comes up, be honest but humble. Instead of spending money to help people, try getting some of your friends together and donate your time. That way you all can participate at an equal level together, and money isn't an issue.

is this school by any chance harvard because I go there and I've never encountered any hostility against rich kids. we care about who you are and what you want to be, what you want to do, NOT about what you do or don't have or what kind of background you come from. and we at harvard are not unique in this regard.
please look at Bill Gates. look at all the money he has and look what he has done with it to make the world a better place. you are in the wonderful place of being able to save the world on a grander scale than the rest of us, though we do try :)

yea i am gratefull
and my family alrdy helps alot of people by providing jobs and putting kids to school

dont get stupid and steal and run away...thats theft and cowardness.
be grateful. poor people are grateful, even when they can barely put food on the table.
maybe you should give your abundance of money to more people, like the ones that cant buy groceries because they dont make enough money.
or maybe help with a students tuition to college.
dont run from your rich problems. stay, and make yourself a better person and the world a better place.

You HATE being rich? My god. Try being POOR and THEN say that. It is SO hard to live day by day wondering how you are going to pay for food or clothes or utilities. It's heartbreaking to tell your kids at Christmas time that there won't be any presents or that,no, you can't have those awesome shoes you want cuz we have no money. I don't want to get angry at you, but I don't understand you. Your clueless as to what people with NO money go through. I work my butt off, mind yu, I am not on welfare, but my paycheck goes in my hands and then out in 1 day. You should be thankful every day that you are able to go to a good school, my kids would DIE to go to ANY college, and not be such a sniveling little whinebaby.

The world is fake whether you are rich or not. So take it as a bonus in a fake world. There's nothing wrong with being rich as long as you are not a snob. Use your money to better this world. Don't steal and don't run away. That solution doesn't seem very well planned out either. Do you really know what you are going to do if you run away? HOw will that alleviate the problems you have?

Being rich is a gift. Pretending is really not good. Be like your mother. but acting like your not wealthy is just not right. STEALING IS UNACCEPTABLE.
