I was the queen of running away. I t got me nowhere. I became a burden to whoevers doorstep I happen to show up on, I was always hungry, and always putting my life in jeapordy. It sounds good, running away, but it really sucks. I used to steal clothes off of clothes lines cuz I never had clean clothes and try to take showers in Hotels or bathrooms. I had to steal food, and now I have a shoplifting record a mile long. If your parents are strict, oh well, deal with it, because all you have to go through to survive isn't worth it. Trust me, kid, I know.

When I wanted to run away from home around your age (I'm assuming 14), he told me he also wanted to run away but the main question that kept him home was "where am I going to stay?" Teens can't rent a hotel room (and it'd be expensive), staying with a friend's house is inconvenient when they know your parents. Honestly, the hardship of being homeless needs to be considered. Will you have money for food, shelter? I know it's an easy decision to resolve to running away from home, but at the same time, it's also the easy way out before you think about all the "little things." If your mom is neglecting or abusing you, why not call a social worker?

Please consider thinking before doing. (:
