To scared to ask..

I'm very old fashion..i think it's the guys place to ask a girl out..but I have asked guys to dances, just only as friends..i'm a senior and my last homecoming is coming up I really want to go with a friend of mine, who I asked to fill in for my bf for prom last year (that boy friend is now my ex because we realized long distance is way to hard! in our circumstance) well I really do like my friend and i'm nurvous about asking him to hc because we are such good friends and I am planing on tellin him I like him..he had a date for the dance (they were just going as friends) but she told him she cant go, because shes going to another with the guy shes starting to talk to.
guys...what do you think I should do?

hmm bad news i did ask, he said he would love to, had i asked two days before (a girl who likes him asked he said he was just going solo so he wouldnt hurt her by saying he didnt want to, he didnt wana look like a jerk showing up with a date) but we did spend the whole dance together, and danced..it was basically like we went together..sad news, he's now talking to another girl cause i chickened out on telling him how i feel and he moved on =( who well guess it wasn't ment to be right?

Ask him. Tell him. If you really do feel this way, the only chance you are taking is not knowing what could have been, because even if he doesn't feel the same (and he probably does) holding it all in is not good for you.
