Why are guys such jerks

Why do guys have to be such jerks.they tell you they love you and say that they will always e there for you but it turns out they just want to get some! I meen thats what just happened with me and my ex.we had only been going out for like a week and everyday he would send me a text saying I love and I want us to be high school sweethearts etc.etc.i wanted to beleive it so I actually started too.and then one night he is talking to me and out of no where he started to try to get all sexual and crap I was like wtf! he was like would you take off your shirt and show me your boobs! I meen I really did like him and all and when he said that I just hung up the phone and started to cry.i lost all respect for him.he told me he cared and all kinds of crap like that but it turned out he just wanted to get some.
but the next day I broke up with him.i didnt see him the same.but after we broke up he said he really does like me and he didnt want me to think he only liked me cause of my body and all and he said all this other nice stuff and how he regrets doing that and how he is trying to get better and crap but then he told my bff he thought of this as more flirting time but he denies it! I meen should I go out with him agian let alone trust him?

Dont go back out with him. You were shown the way that he truely is. Don't expect him to change that... Just change your standards, or keep your standards.... Guys will only do to you what you allow them to

majority of guys are arseholes, it's just how it is. i don't like it either, but i'm slowly coming to terms with it.
