Fight back. show him what is like to bleed. on your way home, grab a 2x4 and beat him till he cries "mommie!!!" tell him you wont take his shit no more!!! then, just leave and warn him that if he follows you, you wont go "easy" on him. if indeed he calls the cops on you... you have the right to call it self devence.
its not always good to believe that he told you this cuz he "loves" you. some guys are just like that. i had a boyfriend who promiced me the world, then turned around and told me that he had a girl before me. i took him back, and he cheated on me. THE BIGGEST CLUE THAT HE'LL CHEAT ON YOU IS IF HE CHEATED ON SOMEONE ELSE WITH YOU!!!
but this sound like its deeper than just the love for this one guy, more than likely, its going to happen again and again and again, each time with a different guy. and if you DO find a good guy, it probally wont feel right to you, and you may end up sabotaging yourself cuz your not use to a male figure standing by you.
