The story of "karma" has been changed so many times. Rarely anyone knows or understands what KARMA actually is.

Long story short(just so you know):

The original belief was that KARMA followed you from one life to the next. Ex: If you are a bad person in this life, your next life is going to be a bad one. But, If you are a good person, in your next life you will be have "riches"(whether that be happiness, love, money)

But a lot of people believe in that "new school" story of karma. Which is not correct at all. : (
