I've never understood this

People around here (not this site, my hometown area) cannot for the life of them seem to have any serious discussion without bringing their religious views into the picture. I am a...

Our cats

I love them. They have more personality than most of my classmates. Our doggie is a big ball of cuddly playfulness, so he's a lot of fun as well. I'm happy we found a way to deal...

Not a bad idea, but it does prohibit the sort of conversation that used to take place here back when I joined. Of course, that's not a common occurrence anymore, anyway, so I guess it...

Gravatar

Since we have to use it for avatars, and it's actually not an awful system, I thought I'd mention that using the gravatar website with a mobile device is a little annoying, since they...

It's prettier now

But it's a little awkward on a mobile device. I am not exactly a frequent user anyway, so it's not a big deal. Some of the added features are nice, especially editing and deleting...

Internet friends.

The way I see it, trusting people you meet on a site like this is never a brilliant idea.

We've all been burned by secrettalkers, but it doesn't have to mean friendships end. Then again, sometimes it does. It's all a matter of what you're willing to forgive and work through, and what you feel you have time for.

Hey, God.

In that regard, everyone is just a name if you take away what they did/do.

Christopher Columbus is just a name without his "exploits." De Gama, Cortez, Magellan, all just names.

Not every Biblical text portrays God in the same way, and not all religions who revere the Hebrew God view Him in the same way. Like I was trying to say, if someone believes that a being is indeed omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, etc., then it cannot make logical sense to place said being in a box made of rules and norms known by the believer -- the being would simply be too big to fit.

It's the same reason why an ant cannot comprehend a human being.

Hey, God.

I never understood why God gets placed in a box. If God from the Christian perspective seems horrible, why not examine the concept from a different point of view? Or disregard it completely?

I never understood why people felt the need to destruct religious figures rather than simply ignore them.

I'm sure you have your reasons, of course.

dumb whore.

How do you almost get someone pregnant?

That's an odd thing to know...

on another note

Remember, houseless isn't homeless. Cling to the important pieces of your life that you do still have, you'll find your way.
